Hand-knotted rugs made debut in January’s Domotex show
After a positive introduction at Domotex, Jaipur is set to introduce a new, hand-knotted designer rug line at the April 5-10 High Point Market.
Introduced in January at the show in Hannover, Jaipur’s Chaos Theory collection is designed by internationally recognized designer Kavi.
Kavi has spent much of her life travelling the world and practicing diverse art forms, including painting, sculpture, etc. This influence manifests itself through the unique blend of traditional and contemporary aesthetics in her rug designs.
Enthused by natural materials, classic color palettes, and the distinctive work of artisans and craftspeople she works with, Kavi's rugs are inspired by the purity and chaos in nature. Chaos Theory by Kavi, traces the beauty in nature’s seemingly cluttered patterns.
Natural forms in transition were studied for inspiration, and recreated on unexplored mediums. Each rug in this collection is created by hand knotting nearly 100,000 knots of hand-carded, hand-spun wool and bamboo silk.
Jaipur will introduce these rugs at its Showplace 3300 showroom.
Eclectic modern collections in finer qualities of hand knotting highly sought after by global art connoisseurs.
